Overview
The Clinical Coordinator (Registered Nurse) is important to providing resident care and appropriate communications within the department. This role will receive general supervision from the Director of Nursing to coordinate physicians’ visits, monitor infection control, participate in interdisciplinary conferences on resident care, participate in quality assurance activities, and monitor the care provided on the unit. The right individual for this position will be organized, diligent, responsible, and caring.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
- Assist with admissions and perform charge nurse duties as needed
- Coordinate physician’s visits and make rounds with physicians while ensuring proper documentation and accurate resident care records
- Provide direct care to residents or delegate care as appropriate
- Administer wound care and treatments as directed
- Report incidents or changes in residents’ condition to DON
- Enforce company policies and procedures and state regulations
- Participate in staff training
- On-call duties as scheduled
- Other tasks as requested by the Director of Nursing
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license
- CPR certification or ability to acquire within 60 days
- Experience in management and senior care is preferred
- Experience in a fast-paced rehabilitation/skilled nursing unit preferred
