Overview

Life Enrichment Assistants bring meaningful programming and excitement to the lives of our residents. These individuals work to develop and implement activities and entertainment that will enrich the daily lives of residents. Under the supervision of the Life Enrichment Director, our Life Enrichment Assistants offer a variety of interesting events to engage and connect seniors with our team, each other, and the greater community. The right person for this role enjoys fostering relationships, helping others, and encouraging self-esteem and self-worth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help set up and prepare for activities
  • Get to know residents personally
  • Maintain attendance at programs and record data in resident insights platform
  • Meet with the Life Enrichment Director to evaluate activity program effectiveness
  • Escort residents to activities
  • Provide one-on-one activities to room-bound residents
  • Interact and communicate well with residents, family members, and guests
  • Other tasks as requested by supervisor

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in recreational therapy or in a senior living setting is preferred
